Read the guide: How to Find the Right Resume Keywords

Paste both your resume and a job description to see the keyword gap.

This runs entirely in your browser. Your resume and the job description are never uploaded.

How it works

  1. 1

    Paste your resume

Drop in the full text of your resume. It is read on your device only and never uploaded.

  2. 2

    Paste the job description

Add the job post you are targeting so the scanner knows which terms to look for.

  3. 3

    Close the gap

See matched and missing keywords side by side, then add the relevant ones where they are honestly true of you.

When to use it

  • Tailoring a resume to a specific job post before applying
  • Spotting the exact terms a job ad repeats
  • Checking a resume covers the must-have skills listed

Free, private, and no catch

No sign-up, no watermark, and no paywall on the download — unlike most resume builders. Everything runs in your browser, so your details are processed on your own device and never sent to a server. Once it works, it keeps working offline.

Frequently asked questions

How does the keyword scan work?
It pulls the meaningful terms out of the job description, drops common filler words, and checks which of those terms appear in your resume. You get two lists: keywords you already match, and keywords you are missing. It is plain text matching, done entirely on your device.
How is this different from the ATS checker?
The keyword scanner focuses purely on the term-by-term gap between your resume and one job post. The ATS checker does that too but adds a match score and structural checks like length and sections. Use the scanner for a fast keyword pass, the ATS checker for a fuller review.
Is my resume or the job post stored anywhere?
No. Both are processed in your browser and never sent to a server. Nothing is uploaded, logged or saved, so pasting a current resume with personal details is safe.
Does it work offline?
Yes. Once the page has loaded, everything runs from your own browser. You can disconnect from the internet and the tool keeps working, because none of it depends on a server. Reconnecting changes nothing about how your details are handled.
